Clueso, an AI-powered video creation startup founded by IIT Madras alumni, has raised **$10 million in Series A funding** led by **Dharana Capital**. New investors **Founders Future** and **Neotribe Ventures** participated alongside existing backers **Y Combinator** and **f7 Ventures**.

The investment brings Cluesoโ€™s total funding to **$12 million**. According to the company, more than 80% of the fresh capital came from existing investors, demonstrating their continued financial backing of the business.

Founded in **2023 by Akash Anand, Prajwal Prakash and Neel Balar**, Clueso operates from California and Bengaluru. The company builds software that helps organisations create and manage business videos, with applications across customer education, marketing, employee onboarding and training.

Cluesoโ€™s initial focus was helping customer-facing teams produce product tutorials faster. Co-founder and CEO Akash Anand said the team subsequently identified similar needs across sales, marketing, training and internal documentation. That discovery encouraged the startup to expand its product beyond a single use case.

Its broader ambition is to automate more of the work involved in producing and updating business videos. In an interview with Forbes, Anand described AI agents that can investigate a companyโ€™s products and identify content requiring updates. The intended benefit is to reduce the manual work needed to keep video material aligned with changing products and processes.

Clueso says **more than 1,000 companies** already use its platform. Its named customers include **Atlassian, Zendesk, Gainsight, GlobalPartners, Seismic and Ironclad**.

The company reports that teams using the platform have experienced **productivity improvements exceeding five times** and an **80% reduction in video production costs**. These figures are company-reported customer outcomes; they should not be interpreted as results every business will necessarily achieve.

Atlassianโ€™s Head of Customer Learning, Garrett Marttinen, described the platform as helping his team transform rough inputs into branded learning videos while reducing the work involved in creating and maintaining them.

Clueso plans to use the investment to expand its enterprise sales and market reach, develop its AI agents further and broaden its editing capabilities. Its stated product direction is to build agents that understand an organisationโ€™s products, processes and brand, then use that context to support video creation and maintenance.

The company operates in a competitive market. Forbes identifies established editing software such as **Adobe Premiere Pro**, alongside AI-focused platforms including **Synthesia and Guidde**, as alternatives in the wider video creation landscape. Clueso is positioning its automation capabilities as a way to address the ongoing production demands of business teams.

For the startup, the next phase will centre on turning its new funding into stronger products and wider enterprise adoption. Its progress will offer a useful case study in whether AI video tools can become a recurring part of business operations.
